What this assesses

For front-end and full-stack developers who already write JavaScript and want to check closures, prototypes, asynchronous code and the browser APIs. It covers 7 topics: core language and types; async and the event loop; DOM and browser APIs; error handling and testing; functions and closures; modules and tooling; and objects and prototypes. The questions were drafted with AI and each one was checked in a separate evidence-based review; the paper is not independently expert-validated, so use it for learning and self-assessment.

Knowledge assessment. Objective questions with fixed answers, scored automatically. It shows what you know about the subject; it does not show that you can do the work hands-on.

AI-generated and AI-reviewed — not independently expert-validated. For learning and self-assessment only. Not a hiring, academic or professional qualification.

Correction history (2)
  • 2026-10-29 · Error handling & testing · Restricted the stem to Jest 29.7 (dropped Vitest, which auto-awaits C) and fixed the async test wrapper; executed every option in Jest 29.7.0: B, D, E meet the criterion, A and C do not.
  • 2026-10-29 · DOM & browser APIs · Replaced option C setAttribute('title') (left el empty, so it did not display the comment inside el) with el.replaceChildren(comment), which displays it as text; verified B, C, E in jsdom.

Before you buy

Prerequisites
No formal qualification is needed. Questions range from the basics to everyday working situations, so some study or hands-on experience of the topics listed will help.
What you receive
A report as soon as you submit, on the web and as a PDF: your overall result, a result for each skill with the number of questions behind it, strengths, development areas and a short development plan.
Certificate
A Certificate of Completion when you finish. A Certificate of Achievement only if GyaniX has set a passing standard for this assessment before you start and your attempt meets it; the page before you start says whether there is one. Practice attempts receive no certificate.
Retakes and practice
A retake is a new purchase and a new attempt. If most of the questions would repeat from your earlier attempt, this page tells you before you pay and offers a clearly labelled practice attempt instead.
Limitations
It is a knowledge assessment: it checks what you know through questions with clear answers. It cannot watch you work, so it is not proof of hands-on competence, and it is not a licence, an academic qualification or an accreditation.

Languages and content status

Available to take in: English. You choose the language before you start, and it stays the same for the whole attempt. If your language is not listed, the assessment is not offered in it yet; nothing is switched after you pay.

Questions were drafted with AI and checked one by one with evidence (code run, answers recomputed, sources opened). They have not been validated by an independent expert.
